Winter Health Tips

Staying Healthy in Winter with Alternative Antibiotics
Every disease can be healed by discipline and fasting.  Fasting has been known for hundreds of years as a prevention against every disease.  Disease, which literally means not at ease, is the body's effort to eliminate waste, mucus and toxins.  The system must be clear from foreign matter and mucus that has accumulated since childhood.  We cannot buy health in a bottle but must compensate for all the wrongs done during our lifetime.  By relieving the production of mucus from the system we are healing, regulating and cleansing the body naturally.

The Immune System in Winter
During the winter the immune system is naturally weakened and the symptoms of illness begin to be set into motion.  If healthy lifestyle routines drop with the temperature, then our health becomes compromised.  Because the best support we have is knowledge, we must learn to maintain our healthy routines, particularly when we become exposed to seasonal colds and flu.

The human body is a marvelous creation of nature.  When the body's immune system becomes imbalanced, there is disease resulting from our lifestyle errors.  Nature can provide appropriate tools to restore and regenerate a healthy balance.  These tools are within the body through vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc., and outside the body in a form of water, sunshine, herbs, fresh air, healing massage, and herbal wraps, particularly those which utilize parafen and mud combination known as fango.  The body/organ system health is dependent upon optimal absorption of nutrients and maximum elimination of metabolic toxins.

The very best medicine is food not only for immune system but for every bodily system.  Currently, we eat too much animal proteins, fats, and refined carbohydrates such as pasta bread, and pastries.  Unrefined carbohydrates and vegetable protein foods are in fruits: vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds.  When the ratios tip in favor of animal proteins, the immune system is adversely affected.

Vitamins
Vitamin A helps to form and maintain healthy function of the eyes, hair, gums, glands and mucus membranes involved, also in fat metabolism.
Vitamin D is needed for the body to absorb calcium, phosphorous which builds strong bones and teeth.
Vitamin E helps form red blood cells, muscle and other tissues by preventing fatty acid oxidation.
Vitamin K is needed for normal blood clotting and normal bone metabolism.

Minerals
Calcium helps build strong bones and teeth.  It helps blood to clot and also activates certain enzymes to change food into energy.
Magnesium is an activator for enzymes that transfer and release energy in the body.
Iron combines with protein to make hemoglobin, the red substance in blood which carries oxygen from the lungs to the cells, and myoglobin which stores oxygen in the muscles.
Zinc is an element of the enzyme that works with red blood cells to move carbon dioxide from the tissues to the lungs.
Selenium interacts with vitamin E to prevent the breakdown of fats and body chemicals.  Selenium is very important for the healthy immune system.
Attention: Every vitamin and mineral, when consumed in amounts that are greater than the body can handle, an become pharmacologic agents with the same potential for creating adverse reactions and side effects as any chemical drug

Bacteria
Bacteria is the oldest form of life on this planet and they have learned very well how to survive and respond to threats.  To protect oneself from the mutation of bacteria we normally would use an antibiotic, but remember all antibiotics originate from fungi, and we already have antibodies in our system, so we need to support the production of friendly bacteria which are antioxidants.

Herbal Antibiotics
The top herbs that can be effectively used for treating antibiotic-resistant organisms are:
1. Artemisia (Artemisia annua)
2. Juniper (junierus)
3. Ginger (zingiber officiale)
4. American Godenseal (hydrastis Canadensis)
5. USNEA (Usnea spp)

7. Licorice (Glycyrhiza globra)
8. SIDA (Sidemento)

Breathing More Efficiently
Breathing air in by the nose, or mouth, it passes through the wind pipe (trachea), and the bronchial tubes.  Then the air enters the thin walled alveoli, the air sacs of the lungs, where the oxygen, which is vital to the nourishment of all tissues, is exchanged for waste, which is carbon dioxide that is expelled by the lungs.

Super Supplement
One of the strongest antioxidents is PYCNOGENOL.  Pycnogenol is 50 times more effective than vitamin E and 20 times more effective than vitamin C in scavenging free radicals  It restores the strength of the capillaries and membranes of the blood vessels and allows oxygen, nutrients, enzymes, hormones, and other substances to create the correct balance of health.

Aid for Coughing
Ginger syrup.
4 cups of water, 7-8 inch piece of ginger root, half of a vanilla bean, 2 cups of organic sugar, one-half lemon or lime slice.  Bring water to boil, adding ginger and vanilla bean.  Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.  Gradually add sugar, lime/lemon.  Cover and let stand 30 minutes.
